This week in ISM was extremely packed as I not only worked to get my assignments that were due turned in on time, but also spent time outside of school preparing ideas for a brainstorming meeting my mentor requested me to bring input to regarding the March social videos for JCPenney! I am extremely excited for this opportunity and plan on putting together a visual appealing notes sheet that clearly captures my ideas as preparation for attending my first meeting in a corporate setting. This week I also created my invitations and guest list for the 2017 research showcase as well as conducted more research on the various types of content marketing and what is beneficial about each method. Through this research, I learned that creative content marketing is all about stimulating excitement in the targeted audience to make them desire to purchase a company's products or services rather than promoting a single company directly with the sales pitch approach. My research speech I presented to the class on Tuesday went relatively well, however I was three minutes over the required time limit which I did not expect would happen at all. I believe the solution is condensing the time I talk about my initial research that was geared towards finding my topic of study so I can elaborate more on exactly what I am doing now that I have decided to go down the pathway of creative content management.
